Witch High Priest and well-loved author, teacher, conjure-man and Faery Seer, Orion Foxwood, has been a friend of our family and the Cosmic Connection Temple of Stars for many years. He is a brilliant man of many talents and abilities. Some of his published works include of “The Faery Teachings” (RJ Stewart Books), “The Tree of Enchantment”, “The Candle and the Crossroads” and "The Flame in the Cauldron" (Weiser Books). Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, his exposure to southern and Appalachian culture inspired him to continue learning and teaching faith-healing, root-doctoring, faery lore and second-sight practices in workshops, intensives and lectures across America and other countries. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services.
Orion is an initiate in several Traditional Witchcraft families, including Alexandrian, Celtic, and more. He is the Founding Elder of Foxwood Temple and Coven, dedicated to passing on the traditional techniques and lore of his elders. He is the founder, and primary instructor, in the House of Brigh Faery Seership Institute, where he teaches a multi-year teaching program in the "Tree of Enchantment" lore, practices, traditions and skills. The Faery practices taught by Orion Foxwood and Brigh (his spirit-wife), introduce us to the divine forces of love, wisdom and power that blossom through us when we bring our three souls (known as “walkers”) into alignment with ancestral, planetary and universal streams of starlight and space (the original parents of creation).
As a co-founder of Conjure Crossroads (CC), which is a collaboration between five (5) seasoned root-workers and Witches focused on preserving and promoting the healing and helping benefits of southern root-work, Witchcraft and other folk traditions, Orion helps host the annual Folk Magic Festival in New Orleans. He is also a co-founder of Conjure-Craft along with Susan Diamond, which hosts an annual "Meeting of Magical Minds" conference in Santa Cruz, CA and he is a co-founder of the "Witches in the Woods" gathering also in Santa Cruz

Orion was taught that there are two primary meeting points where the Witch, the magickal power and the lineage of wisdom meet: the Witch's Sabbat (specific seasonal tides) and the Sabbath (a luminary internal lineage of wisdom and power). This Sabbath is
an inner state-of-being where the Witch is taught by otherworldly beings to renew their power be one with the "sorcerous-tide". Though traditionally connected to Witches, it is also a place for all who seek the wild ways of natural magick. Orion will share lore, traditionally imagery and flight chants to take us beyond the hedge to an eternal source of magick and it is a unifying power. This magickal time of Samhain opens the veil for flight to a power older than time!
